Step 1 - The Online Form
The online form allows us to determine approximately how much time we will need in order to complete your repair as well as the next time when we will be in your community. We will email you with some additional pertinent information and our next available appointment time. We will confirm the booking with you.
Step 2 - The Appointment
We will come out, inspect the areas needing to be repaired and provide you with a free, no obligation quote. We will explain the breakdown and reasons for the cost of repairs. In order to keep our prices as competitive as possible, we can usually provide the quote and do the repairs on the same trip. Most repairs take two hours or less to complete. On larger jobs we can coordinate things if more time is needed.
Step 3 - Walkthrough and Payment
After the repairs are completed, we do a walkthrough with you to inspect the repairs and make sure that you are happy. Once you are satisfied and happy, payment is due. We accept cash, check, debit and most credit cards. (sorry no AMEX) We then email out a receipt for your records.

The best stretch is accomplished when rooms are cleared of furniture. With this being said, it is not always necessary or possible to move all furniture. Oftentimes, shifting the furniture in the room is all that is required to do the repairs. We make use of furniture sliders in order to do this in the easiest and most efficient manner possible. With that being said if we can have any smaller items, valuable or breakables removed from the area that is greatly appreciated.
We strongly recommend getting your carpets cleaned after. Oftentimes the dirt will collect on the ripples. When the ripples are stretched out, there may be a darker shadow from where that dirt has collected. As well depending on the type of carpet, the carpet may have stress marks from sitting in a rippled state for so long. Vaccumming may return the carpet to its pre-rippled state, but a good steam cleaning will solve both of these issues.
The reason for this is not because the carpet still has wrinkles, but because the carpet needs to be steam cleaned. It is usually always a good idea to get your carpets professionally steam cleaned after we do a re-stretch. Oftentimes the dirt will collect on the ripples. When the ripples are stretched out, there may be a darker shadow from where that dirt has collected. As well depending on the type of carpet, the carpet may have stress marks from sitting in a rippled state for so long. Vaccumming may return the carpet to its pre-rippled state, but a good steam cleaning will solve both of these issues.
The CRI 105-2002 Standard for Residential Carpet Installation guide states: “Visibility of the seams will vary with the type of carpet purchased. Customers should not be led to believe that seams will be invisible.”

Sometimes, after carpet that has been rippled for too long, the backing seperates from the top layer of carpet. In these instances the carpet may be able to be repaired, but in some extreme circumstance, it may not be possible to get the carpet stretched properly.
The CRI 105-2002 Standard for Residential Carpet Installation guide states:
Wrinking and buckling are most often caused by the failure to adequately stretch the carpet… , the use of an inappropriate cushion, adverse temperature and humidity conditions, or inadequate conditioning time.

Originally, we began in the field of new carpet installations. Interestingly enough about 10 years ago we handled quite a large amount of warranty re-stretching work for a manufacturer that had started rippling due to a defective underlay (You’ll be happy to note that underlay is no longer available.) The experience was quite rewarding as we had many, many ecstatic customers that were worried they would have to replace their carpets. Fast forward a few years, and we realized there was a greater need for re-stretching in the Calgary area, and here we are!
A Common Installer Mistake
I’ve repaired a lot of carpets over the years (decades actually….yikes!), so I have seen many common mistakes that happen with installations. And here is one: The original installer had
